Research Fellowship in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at Noldus Information Technology

The Doctorate Program Research Fellow to be employed at Noldus Information Technology will develop multimodal technologies for measuring behavior of automated reasoning, and feedback for the various domains of applications. In order to allow context-aware systems automatically analyze and respond to user behavior, the measurement system is needed that recognizes the user and interpret its behavior. computer vision techniques using one or more camera views to interpret what is happening in the scene without interrupting. Behavior in everyday life, including eating behavior, is a combination of in-depth action. Analysis of position eg certain body parts such as heads and hands, gaze direction and possible interactions with other people or objects indicate what action is actually performed. This Doctorate Program research will involve Bayesian techniques for measuring and tracking articulated pose estimation from monocular camera or multiple cameras, an online action / gesture classification, detection and identification of objects, and the distance to the camera. To improve resilience and efficiency analysis, multimodal approach will be followed by including other types of sensors (eg accelerometer) which act in a complementary measure, but an additional way. Conduct multi-sensor recognition systems will feed into a program of Complex Event Processing (CEP), which also receives data from other sources (eg databases). http://www.callforpapersinfo.com

Research work will be done in the department of Research & Development Noldus Information Technology at Wageningen. Scientific oversight will be provided by Dr Oliver Amft, Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, where the Research Fellow will be registered as a Ph.D. students.
